This is the third pair of PipSqueakers shoes I've bought for my little one. The tops are soft canvas cloth, and the soles are flexible, but solid. I hate those baby shoes that are stiff and plastic, and allows for no movement of the foot, so these were just what I was looking for.I also like that a number of the shoe models they carry are XW (extra wide). My daughter has unfortunately inherited her parents' hobbit-like feet, so she has a wider and taller foot than most. These shoes give her feet the room they need, and I have *never* had a rubbing or crowding problem. Her feet are never red, even after a full day of running around. I can't say the same about shoes I have bought in the past from the store.The squeakers can be easily disabled. They're cute at first when they're first walking, but soon get annoying. To disable, just find the squeaker hole, put a hot glue gun at the hole, and plug it with a dab of hot glue. No more squeak! :) I bet you could probably do it with tape or a dab of super glue too, but my mini glue gun is easy to find.This particular pair is a great all-around shoe. It can be used with formal stuff or casual equally well. For little girls, I also recommend their Mary jane style shoes. They look very good in pictures. I only wish they'd have more color and fabric choices.

Bought these for my grandson. He enjoys the squeeks and we get such a kick out his giggles. Im going to buy him another pair when these are too small.

Very nice shoe that fit my toddlers very high arch and large foot. Only negative is I took the squeakers out because noise gets annoying and they do not send plugs to put in the holes that remain that would prevent the squeek.
