By Sheelah McGuire
I first bought these in a size 6.5W for my daughter who is that size(from a different site). They were way too tight so I ordered them in a 7 on here...again too tight. I just gave up. I really don't think a shoe this narrow is suitable for a wide foot. If my daughter's a 6.5W there's no reason I should be buying her a size 8W. After reading all of the reviews also stating that you have to buy a larger size, I shouldn't have bothered(I admit, I read them after). So...if your toddler has a wide foot, I wouldn't bother with these. As cute as they are, it's not worth the hassle at guessing a size & returning....repeat.

By Chris
I wanted to write a review because I used the other reviews here to help inform my purchase and I wanted to add a little info. I actually purchased the Stride Rite Sierra Lighted Sneaker at our local shoe store, so we were able to try it on before we purchased. My daughter LOVES her new shoes! These shoes are bright (I think they used an LED because they are REALLY bright- but there aren't that many lights so it's not overkill) and they sparkle a lot, which she loves. We just got home from soccer today where she was running all over the field with them with no problems.Reviewers are right that the shoe runs smaller than some other shoes. My daughter is 5 1/2 years old, and she was wearing a size 11 Carter's toddler sneaker that she had grown out of. I wanted the new shoes a little big (who wants their kid to grow out of a $40 pair of shoes in 2 months!). In the other shoe sizes we tried on I would have gone with a size 1 kid. That would have given her about 1 1/2 inches of room for her feet to grow, but she still could run all over with no problems or tripping. In this we got a size 2 kid. Also, my daughter has normal width feet, and doesn't need a wide width. The shoes are a little narrow at the top, but as long as she undoes the velcro at the top, she doesn't have an issue with getting the shoe on. If you are worried about width being a problem, my advice is to go with the wide width version of this shoe that amazon offers.SO, FINAL ADVICE:+ We bought one size bigger than I would have purchased in another brand.+If you're not sure about width, I'd go with the wide version.Hope this helps!

By Chelsea Mccabe
I have two girls ages 2 & 4. I got a 6w and an 8. The girls love the colors, pink and silver, and the lights are bright! But they are hard to get on the heel. The back points want to fold down and its hard to get their foot in, but once in they love them.
