I actually have these in two sizes (they seem to run big). My 13 month old (who is in the 50th percentile for height and size) wears a size M - which is 6-12 months according to Boumy. I originally bought in a size L but just kept both pairs because I like them enough to wear a couple of seasons. These have the look of the much more expensive Freshly Picked Mocs for half the price. They stay on the feet much better than the Minnetonka brand that I tried. Since they are suede and lighter in color, they do develop a "worn" look over time (discoloration in worn areas).

XL was huge and L was better for my 31" and 24lb 8 month old. Suede gets dirty almost immediately and he can't even walk. Confusing. But they are cute shoes.
