Very Nice Shoes - But Not Water Resistant

I love See Kai Run shoes and have been buying them for my daughter ever since she started to crawl. She's 2 now and with the wet fall weather it was time to get her some new shoes. I bought these for her expecting them to be great shoes that would carry her through this fall and winter. Sadly, the darker purple in the front and sides appears to be fairly water-permeable. It is more of a suede leather than the other See Kai Run shoes that I have had. We have some others that are a shiny white leather and they are much better at keeping the water out. Granted, we do live in the wet Pacific Northwest, but even walking from our house to the car across some dewy grass was enough to give her soggy socks and toes. If you live somewhere drier and like the See Kai Run shoes, I would definitely recommend them - super cute and well made. But if you live in a wetter climate you might want to keep looking for winter shoes.

Quality shoe

This shoe brand is trusted among mothers (and grandmothers). My daughter is very pleased with the look and style of this shoe for my grandson, and the quality is evident. The shoe has plenty of rounded toe room for fat little toddler feet, is flexible, yet supportive. The shoe wears very well, even after many months of busy toddler activity.

Great shoe

These are excellent shoes at a great price!! They are true to size and hold up well on those crazy playground surfaces. I definitely recommend them to anyone who has a child playing in a playground with the rubber surface that gets black all overEverything. These are easy to clean with a little soft scrub, water and wet towel. My daughter loves them. I may buy the silver ones as well!

Wide sizes are not wide enough

This is a sweet little shoe, but the wide sizes aren't wide enough for children with truly wide feet. I could tell with just one look that it wasn't as wide as her Stride Rite and New Balance shoes. Sure enough, she got upset when I put them on her because they hurt her feet. The wide sizes are best for kids whose feet are just a little wider than a regular size. It just won't fit chubby-footed kids like my daughter.

Fine before washing

I really love the look of these shoes. My daughter wore them without problems right out of the box (we bought them in a shop where she could try them on, but it seems they were true to size for her). They were comfortable and easy for her to put on herself. They stay on her feet well and are great for playing at the park, running or riding a bike. However, the machine wash aspect has not worked out for us. They did come out of the wash looking cleaner, but ever since then, they have had the worst smell. Whatever green tea thing they use for repelling odors goes away it seems. I can't even stand for her to wear the shoes for a short time since it makes her feet smell so bad. It's a real bummer since the shoes were overly expensive and fun/easy to wear. They go well with all of my daughter's clothes. The soles of the shoes are also showing more wear than shoes should show after 6 months of use. After washing, the velcro straps get lots of little strings that need to be trimmed off. I don't know if I'd recommend these shoes. Maybe others have had better luck with washing them, or have skipped that part entirely. The insole just gets gnarly black after wearing for some time. I haven't found kid shoes that hold up well, but we're still looking! I truly hoped this brand would be "it" since my daughter loved wearing them so much! I tried baking soda under the sole insert, but it hasn't worked. We're going to try one last wash and if that doesn't help with the smell, we have to get rid of them.

Great shoe

My daughter loves these shoes, they match most of her clothes, and are holding up well after 2 months of wear. The shoe is a size smaller than she is wearing in other shoes, but it's still big on her feet...so order small!! We have been up to this point buying See Kai Run/Elevens shoes, which we love, but the price on these shoes were much lower, and I feel the quality is comparable. The only difference is that the sole is slightly less flexible than the See Kai Run's/Elevens. We are picky about the shoes for our kids, and these pass the test.

Girls shoes

These shoes are kind of expensive, but worth it. I ordered these last year for my 5 year old daughter and they lasted a year (I always order a little large to allow for growth). They do run big, but they really hold up to wear and tear.

Someone gave me these shoes at a shower. My daughter has small feet and is just now growing out of the size 3 shoes. These are the best most versatile shoes ever! Great quality, and perfect for beginning walkers :-)

Too Cute

My daughter has always had pretty narrow feet and these shoes fit perfectly. She had a pair last spring/summer and we had to get another pair for this year! They go with everything from shorts and pants to dresses and skirts. Pair them with some cute socks and you're ready to go. They clean up fairly easily, too.

These are by far the best shoes for my child I have found. I originally bought them in size 4 and when she grew out of them, I decided to buy the next size up because I loved them that much. Very versatile: okay for play and okay for Wednesday night church.
