When we were shopping for shoes recently, my daughter's top priority was that they have lights. I was happy to find these light-up sneakers from a "better" shoe manufacturer. In pink no less! With sparkles! The glitzy style of these sneakers really appeals to my 4.5-year-old. I was a little concerned that the light pink color would show dirt, but she has been wearing these just about daily for over a month and they look brand new. The velcro straps enable my daughter to put her shoes on herself, and once on, they seem to stay anchored. By the way, these shoes have genuine leather insoles. Nice touch.I would like to add to the above description that the packaging we received included a pamphlet explaining the ventilation system in the soles of these shoes, claiming that they keep the feet comfortably dry, but not letting in water. I did wonder whether my daughter would get wet feet from walking around in Massachusetts weather with tiny holes in the soles of her sneakers, but as far as I can tell, she doesn't have that problem. She didn't complain of wet feet the other day after walking straight through a puddle. In any case, my daughter is not concerned about the technical details - just that these sneakers look cool.

This is the second pair of Geox I have bought for my daughter. She outgrew her last pair. They are very durable. My daughter loves that they light up and the color is true to the picture. Great purchase.

Love and I mean LOVE these shoes. OUr second grader got them in August and (it's January) they still look brand new. They are a little heavier than your normal kids' athletic shoe, but the inside has formed to her foot and the vents keep her feet cool. The stitching, velcro, leather colors and everything is still in perfect condition. Lights work, these are our favorite shoes. You definitely pay for what you get with Geox, but we've also been through two pairs of those darn Twinkle Toes that are all cute and flashy but do NOT last. Big fan of these and we'll be buying them again next year or whenever she outgrows them.
