We found these in a local boutique kids shoe shop here in Melbourne, Australia. For reasons I don't understand, they were in limited supply and didn't have our daughter's size. This shoe was exactly what we were looking for for our active 4 year old, and as we struggled to find another local supplier with this model, we ordered via the States. We're always outdoors, at the beach, in the bush or just kicking around the park, and these are tough enough for the great outdoors, yet flexible and light enough for every day use. And the biggest draw was...they weren't covered in fairies, bows or any of the other stereotypical 'for little girls' stuff on your average girls sneakers. Which apart from just looking trashy, wouldn't be up to the punishment any active kid would put them through. Well done Keens; your designs are great, fun, stylish and functional, without the trash! Great value too!

We ordered these Keen Ambler Fashion Sneaker shoes in Bronze Green/Chocolate Brown for our 3 year old who was recently prescribed orthotics. (He wears a size 9 M US Toddler) The photos are not accurate as the shoes are slip on with thick elastic 'laces' that do not crisscross. I'm sure these would still be a great shoe for a child who isn't required to keep them on, but we really needed ones we could tighten enough to ensure they stayed on his feet all day. We returned them after an hour of battling him to keep them on inside the house.

My son can really test a shoe's craftsmanship... He skids his soles on his bike, drags the toes of shoes across asphalt and concrete play tops, runs through mud, leaves, you name it... So far, these shoes haven't worn through, broken down or snapped any threads. I'm quite pleased! If they continue to hold up this well, I will be back for more.
