*I POSTED AN IMAGE OF THE ISSUE THAT THESE SHOES HAD* You can see this image in the "customer images" bit for the product, above.I want to say I'm struggling to give this 4 stars. The only reason I am is because I would still buy them again. The problem with these shoes is not their fit or comfort, but rather the front of the sole easily separates from the fabric of the toe-box. This happened with one pair after about 2-3 months. Merrell customer service was great and replaced the shoes without issue (even though they were purchased elsewhere). However, it happened with the next pair very quickly, too. I suspect most people would not tolerate this and rag on the shoe (perhaps validly).The reason I'd still buy these in any case is because it appears that once the front sole separates from the toe box the shoe still functions fine; it seems like it's falling apart--and technically it is!--but it still functions just fine. I was unable to glue them back together with special-bought shoe glue.I'd buy these again because there are VERY few options for children's non-bulky shoes. If there were I'd knock these a star.I should note also that another child I know with these shoes has not had the separating problem at all. I suspect it's a combination of the shoe and how the particular child wears them.

We bought these for our 4 year old daughter. She is very picky about shoes,always too tight, straps are never quite right, etc. She put these on in the store and started running, never one complaint. They are very comfortable shoes with good support and a vibram sole. The complaint is mine. These are meant for summer and wearing without socks, but after only wearing them 3 days, her feet stink so badly. There is no anti microbial foot bed and we just can't wear them anymore. We never have this problem with summer sandals. We have washed them, but anytime she sweats at all, they smell. Very disappointed and am ordering the Teva Sandals, since they have an anti-microbial footbed and are more open to allow airflow...

I bought these for my 6year old daughter last summer and they were great! She found them very comfortable and they held up well - and believe me she is HARD on shoes.
